Labeled a "costly waste of ratepayers money," the planned Canada geese cull
The Animal Justice Party Aotearoa has referred to a plan to kill up to 1000 Canada geese in Christchurch this month as a "costly waste of ratepayers money." In an effort coordinated by Christchurch City Council, Environment Canterbury, and Christchurch Airport, about $20,000 is spent year on culling the geese.
