The new ambassador says that Indonesia and Saudi Arabia will become better friends and work together more under the new government.



RIYADH , in Saudi Arabia the ambassador from Indonesia said that Indonesia

Will keep working closely with Saudi Arabia ven though they have a new

President named Prabowo Subianto. At a special party to celebrate 79 years

Of Indonesia being free and the fiendship between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia

Abdulaziz Ahmad talked about how important it is that the two countries

Are getting closer and working well together . 

 He also mentioned some great things that both countries have done recently.

"Last Oktober , during the historic visit of  former Indonesia President Joko Widodo, 

we signed four key memorandums of understanding-on the Supreme Coordination 

Council , halal products, sports and youth cooperation, and tecnical standards," he said .

"these agreements pave the way for a stronger, mutually beneficial alliance that supports

the development goals of the both our countries".

The ambassador said nice things about how Indonesia changed its leader peacefully

last mont with President Subianto. He feels really good about how Indonesia

and Saudi Arabia will work together in the future. He believes that with and audi Arabia 

work together in the future . He believes that with the new leaders in charge , the friendship

between the two countres will get even stronger, helping them share more ideas and 

work together on things like trade and culture . 

The ambassador talked about how trade between the two  countries is getting bigger 

and bigger. They pointed out that Indonesia is selling more and more products to 

Saudi Arabia , which is really important.

In 2023, our countries did a lot of buying and selling with each other, reaching 

a total of $6.15 billion.

That's  a big increase of about 10.81 percent since 2019 . By August this year,

the amount we trade grew even more, by about 17.32 percent compared to 

the same time last year.

"This momentum reflects the strength of  our  partnership and the quality of 

Indonesian exports, especially in non-oil sectors such as palm oil, processed food 

and agriculture, which increasingly meet the needs of Saudi consumers. Our collaboration

emphasizes sustainability and community production, which is well aligned with 

Saudi Arabia's Vision2030"

 He said that Indonesia wants to help keep peace in the Middle East. They are 

very upset about the fighting that is happening in Gaza and want to help the people there.

Indonesia believes that everyone should follow the rules made by the world to make sure 

people get the help they need. 

Ahmad finished by thinking King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman 

for helpingIndonesian People in Saudi Arabia and for being good friends with Indonesia .

The Indonesian Embassy threw a party at a special building called the cultural

Palace in a part of Riyadh where many countries have their offices.

About 500 important guest came to the event, incluiding people from other countries, 

leaders from Saudi Arabia. and business owners. This showed how special Indonesia

culture is and how its friendship with Saudi Arabia is getting stronger.

In the evening, there were fun shows that showed off different cultures. 

People danced a special dance from East Java, played beautiful music with a group

of intrument  called a gamelan from Central Java. and there werw also amazing 

singers from Indonesia.

Visitors got to see beautiful batik fabrics from different parts of Indonesia and 

 enjoyed tasty traditional Indonesian food. 

Dr. Faisal Al Sudairi, who helps ake care of the Riyadh area, joined the Indonesia 

ambassador to celebrate a special event as a special guest.
